Nelson Crosby Smith of Edgartown died on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2017, at Massachusetts General Hospital, at the age of 92. He was married to Ann L. (Bernard) Smith. Memorial visiting hours in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs, will be held on Friday, April 14, from 5 to 7 pm. A graveside service will be held in the New Westside Cemetery, Robinson Road, Edgartown, on Saturday, April 15, at 11 am, with military honors provided by the veterans of Martha’s Vineyard.
